Burning skies

lyrics

Lambs burnt in fire, their doom were dire,
Desolated pastures left blessed with ire,
The lords, gods and saviors where have they been,
The almighty masters that lambs believed in.

Religious fantasies, brainwashing illusions,
That's what we let in and fell into a dream,
Armies of spineless creatures betrayed themselves,
The seed was swallowed and then it branched out.

There is no kingdom that will hear our cries.

Upon your heads are burning skies,
There is no kingdom that will hear your cries.
The time has come to accept this fate,
To throw ourselves to flames, there is no heaven's gate.

Masses fell on their knees, drank from the chalice of lies,
Renounced their freedom and allowed the hypocrites to thrive.

Led with a sacred word, they got rich from the poor,
Built shrines from bones, they sucked the souls from the hopeless ones,
Filled with promises the masses refused to think -
The only way was to slowly sink.

There is no kingdom that will hear our cries.

The skies fell into the ground,
Flames burnt everything around.
We choked ourselves with lies
While there left nothing to despite.

Upon your heads are burning skies,
There is no kingdom that will hear your cries.
The time has come to accept this fate,
To throw ourselves to flames, there is no heaven's gate.

Upon your heads are burning skies,
There is no kingdom that will hear your cries.
The time has come to accept this fate,
To throw ourselves to flames, there is no heaven's gate.
